Gunn Mowery Helps Raise Money for United Way of the Capital Region

The agency participates in the organization’s 16th annual tricycle race in Harrisburg.

HARRISBURG, PA. (July 27, 2012) The United Way of the Capital Region held its 16th annual Tricycle Race in Harrisburg on Friday. Employees from Gunn Mowery participated in the fun event against area businesses, helping raise $2,500 for local United Way programs.

Twenty-two area businesses participated in the event, which took four tricycle riders and raced them along Market Street in Harrisburg. The Managing Partner of Gunn Mowery, Greg Gunn, kicked off the event by addressing those in attendance. Mr. Gunn is the Chair of the United Way of the Capital Region’s 2012 Annual Campaign.

“The Trike Race marks the start to the United Way’s annual campaign and is a fun way to make the community aware of, and our volunteers energized for, the upcoming effort,” said Gunn, who is also on the Board of the UWCR. “Capital Blue Cross won this year, but Gunn Mowery will be gunning for them next year!”

Each year, Gunn Mowery employees contribute significantly to the United Way of the Capital Region and participate in the organization’s “Day of Caring” program across the capital region. The agency gives back to the organization through community involvement and contributions.
